Monday motivation

Here's a card to make someone's Monday less blue and more colourful. It's a colour explosion!

With this card I would like to share some Summer feeling. It's almost Summer here by now ~ that means the season of flowers and bright colours. I have collected a bunch of flowers from different places. I have been looking around for flowers in my garden and in the local craft store. What you can see in my card is a mix of a bunch of random flowers that I have found.

I made the digi myself. Since it took ridiculously long to create her, I hope at least someone would like to grab her and paint her (and give her some love?).

Baby blue

For baby Edith

For this card I played with different shades of purple, blue and turquoise. I made two of the three backgrounds myself (look below if you want to save one or both of them). I made this card for Baby Edith's baptism day. I didn't want to make a typical kind of baptism card, with crosses and such. Instead I wanted to focus on the person, who is being celebrated. That is baby Edith. Not baby Jesus.

Kofi Annan once said: "To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there." As a little child, you start with small things; you pick your favourite toy and eventually you pick your own socks. You know what? It all starts with socks. (Or in the struggle between a well-meaning parent who is trying to put your socks on, and you who keep insisting on pulling them off.)

I enter this card into the following challenges:

Tea time talk and flora fantastique

I think May Flowers are so flora-dorable. For this card I used some of my old May Flower pins

I find the paper with tea cups to be absolutely tea-riffic. It came with issue 57 from Let's make cards.

Don't you find the digital image to be pre-tea cute? You can grab it here if you want to.

I am entering the following card challenges:

Because I store my tea-cups in the kitchen:

Flora-dorable

For this card I made my own digi. I was inspired by some paper-dolls which my mum used to draw for me, when I was a kid. The red-headed doll is meant to be me, while the blonde doll is supposed to be the girl I'm a mentor for. Her birthday is coming up, so I made this card for her.

The flowers in the corners come from my garden. Basically, I picked some flowers and put them in my scanner. Instead of using dried flowers, I used scanned dried flowers. Lol. Don't ask me why (less messy maybe?). The other flowers come from the local craft store. I have painted them though - with nail polish (I paint almost everything except my nails with nail polish).

When it comes to the papers, I purchased some of them at the local craft store Pysselmakaren, while I painted some (not with nail polish actually, but acrylic paint).

Why don't you save us? We are friendly.

I enter the following challenges:

Hearts full of dots - part 2

Why don't you pick a heart card? It could make someone's day - yay! Some other colours can be found here: part 1. Hearty hugs!

Hearts full of dots

Here's a heart, or actually many of them (look below for different dots and different shades of colour). While they are far from perfect and have some imperfections, I'm still quite happy about the result. What do you think? :) Why dot you take one?

I'm entering this card into: CFC99 at Cas-ual Fridays. Yay fun! I'm also entering Challenge 5 - Spots or Stripes.
